How to set up your referral program ?

You can create your own referral program with SchoolMaker.

Your referrers will be able to share their affiliate link and earn commissions for each sale.

To create your affiliate program, please follow the steps below:

Part 1: Set up your refferal program

Step 1: Go to the "Referral" tab

Click on the "Referral" tab.

Step 2: Your "Referral" dashboard

In your "Referral" dashboard, you can access the following items:

1. The "Sales" tab: Here you will see all the sales generated by your referrers.
2. The "Referrers" tab: Here you will see a list of all your referrers.
3. The "Referral requests" tab: Here you will see all your validated and pending referral requests.

Step 3: Go to the "Settings" tab

Click on the "Settings" tab to set up your referral program.

Step 4: Configure access to your referral program

You can configure 3 types of access to your referral program:

1. Closed: No one can become a referrer, nor earn a commission.
2. Approval-only: Only approved Members can earn commissions on Offers for which you activated referrals.
3. Open: Any Member can earn commissions on Offers for which you activated referrals.

Step 5: Add your instructions to facilitate commission payments.

Indicate in this field all the elements you will need to pay commissions to your referrers.

Your referrers will see this text before signing up to your referral program.

Step 6: Add your referral program settings.

These are the default settings.

You can then configure specific commissions for each of your offers.

1. Default commission for first payment: Add here the fixed amount or percentage commission you want for the first payment.
2. Default commission for recurring payments: Add here the fixed amount or percentage of commission you want for recurring payments (if you've set up a subscription offer or multiple instalments payments).
3. For how many days do you want a visit to a referral link to be tracked? : When a prospect clicks on an affiliate link, there is a follow-up period during which we will check whether a sale has been made through this link. Any sales made after this period will not be counted as part of your affiliate program.
4. How many days do you want to wait before paying a referrer? Add here the number of days you would like to wait before paying a referral commission. This number of days may correspond, for example, to the number of days during which your customers can request a refund. If no refund is requested during this period, you can then pay the commission to your referrer.

Step 6: Go to the "Offer" tab.

Click on the "Offers" tab to activate your referral program offers.

Activate all the offers you wish to integrate into your referral program.

In the image below, we have activated Offer A into our affiliate program.

All referrers will receive a personalized affiliate link for this offer.

Click on "Set commission rate" if you want to configure commissions specific to this offer.

If your commissions are the same for all your offers, it is not necessary to modify these settings for each offer.

Your referral program is ready now.

Let's see what happens on the "Referrer" side when he signs up for your referral program.

Part 2: Subscription of a referrer to your referral program

Step 1: Subscription of a referrer into your referral program

Once connected to your school, the referrer must click on his/her profile and then on "Join referral program".

Step 2: Refferer can add information before subcribing to your referral program

Your referrer must then complete the necessary information to validate his/her request for access to your referral program.

Step 3: Validation of referral request

You will then receive this request in your referral dashboard.

A red dot appears next to the "Referrals" and "Referrals request" tabs.

Click on "Accept".

Your referrer can now access his affiliate links by clicking on "My referral space".

He can click on "Copy link" to obtain his affiliate link for offer A.

He can also add a Paypal.me link to receive his commissions.

Part 3: Referral sales process

Step 1: Referrer shares his/her affiliate link

When the referrer shares his/her affiliate link (for offer A), the referrer's name is automatically displayed.

Step 2: Affiliate registration is completed

When an affiliate makes a purchase via an affiliate link:

On the Referrer side:

The referrer will be able to see the number of sales made for each of your offers via their affiliate links.

On your side:

As an admin, you will see the number of sales made for each of your offers, and then pay out commissions to your referrers.

Part 4: Paying your Referrers' commissions

Step 1: Access your Referrers' dashboard

Click on the Referrer's name to access his/her dashboard.

Step 2: Pay commission

1. Click on "Pay" to proceed with commission payment directly via the referrer's Paypal.me account OR click on "Mark Paid" if commission payment was made in another way.
2. You can also click on "Payment and Invoices" if you want to obtain an invoice from the referrer before making the commission payment.
