Make - Action: Create a Conversation
With Make, you can create a private message with one or more members.
This can be very useful if you wish to..:
- Welcome your new members
- Congratulate your members on completing a milestone
- Congratulate your members on completing a program
- ...
The structure of your scenario will look like this:
- Trigger of your choice
- Action: SchoolMaker: Create a Conversation
In the rest of this article, we'll assume that you've already set up your trigger.
Step 1: Select the SchoolMaker module
After configuring the trigger in your scenario:
- Click on "Add another module"
- Select the "SchoolMaker" module
Note: Select the "SchoolMaker - verified" module, not the SchoolMaker (Legacy) module.
Step 2: Select the "Create a Conversation" action
Step 3: Connect your SchoolMaker school to Make (if you haven't already done so)
Click on "Create a connection"
Add the signing secret and click on "Save"
The signing secret is available in your school by clicking on Settings > Integrations.
Step 4: Configure your "Create a Conversation" module
- Conversation Title: Indicate the title of your conversation or select the desired variable in a previous module
- Message: Indicate the content of your message or select the desired variable in a previous module
- Sender ID: Select the administrator who should send this message
- Member Participants: Click on Map and select the "email" variable of the members who should receive this message.
- Admin Participants: Select the administrator(s) who should participate in this conversation
- Save: Save your module's new configuration.
