Zapier: Make an action when a member joins an offer
In this article, we'll see how to make an action when a member has joined an offer.
Here are some examples of actions:
- Add a member to an email list when he joins an offer
- Send an email to a member when he joins an offer
- Add a member's email address to a table when he joins an offer
- ...
Your Zap will look like this:
- Trigger: SchoolMaker: a member joins an offer
- Filter: To tell Zapier to continue only if certain conditions are met
- Action: Do the desired action
In the following example, we want to add a member to an Active Campaign email list when he joins an offer.
Step 1: Configure the trigger
Select the "SchoolMaker" app as trigger, then select the event "Member joining offer".
Then select your SchoolMaker account.
Step 2: Configure the filter
Add a filter "Only continue if..." after the trigger.
This step tells Zapier to continue the Zap
only if certain conditions are met.
In our example, the Zap should continue only if:
- your SchoolMaker offer name (select the "Offer Name" field)
- exactly matches
- [Offer Name] (enter your offer name here)
Step 3: Configure the action
Select the Active Campaign app as the action for your Zap.
Then choose the "Create or Update Contact" event.
Select your Active Campaign account, then configure the desired action:
- Select the list you wish to add the member to in the "List" field
- Select the "Email member" variable in the "Email address" field
Note that you can also add a tag to this contact during this action:
Step 4: Save your Zap
Save your Zap and make a test.
When a member joins an offer in your SchoolMaker school, they will automatically be added to your list in Active Campaign.
